To further enhance the practical skills of lawyers and strengthen the integration of legal education and practice, on November 29, Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Office held a mock court activity for criminal cases. The Jinan Lawyers Association organized some lawyers to attend as observers, while members of the mock court team from Shandong Normal University Law School and students from Shandong University of Political Science and Law visited the law firm for observation and learning.
In order to further enhance the practical skills of lawyers and strengthen the integration of legal education and practice, on November 29, Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Office held a mock court activity for criminal cases. The Jinan Lawyers Association organized some lawyers to participate as observers, and members of the mock court team from Shandong Normal University Law School and students from Shandong University of Political Science and Law visited the law firm for observation and learning.
The case in this mock court, in which Han is suspected of fraud, is based on a real case and uses real evidence materials with techniques such as anonymization. Lawyers from the criminal field of the Jinan Office took on roles such as presiding judge, judges, and court police, restoring a real courtroom scene.
During the trial, both the prosecution and defense engaged in intense discussions about whether the defendant's criminal behavior constituted fraud or organizing and leading pyramid schemes, focusing on key evidence and crime patterns, showcasing excellent questioning, evidence examination, debate, and summarization, demonstrating the profound professional quality, agile response ability, and superb courtroom defense skills of the criminal defense lawyers at Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Office.
After the mock trial, senior partners Meng Fanhua and Jia Xincui from the Jinan Office provided comments on the trial, pointing out issues to pay attention to in questioning, presenting evidence, and debating, while also highly affirming the preparation activities for the mock court.
More than twenty people, including the mock court team from Shandong Normal University Law School, students from Shandong University of Political Science and Law, and some lawyers from Jinan City, attended the observation. The students expressed that the exciting and intense courtroom process of both the prosecution and defense, especially their on-site responses, greatly benefited them.
The successful holding of this mock court not only showcased the strength of the Jinan Office in legal practical teaching but also built a good bridge for promoting communication and cooperation between the legal and educational sectors. Zhongcheng Qingtai will continue to be committed to promoting the work model that combines legal education and practical training, cultivating more legal talents with high-level professional quality and social responsibility.
