From April 9 to April 12, 2019, the LAWorld International Lawyers Union held the 23rd Global Annual Meeting (KL AGM) in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia. Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Firm was invited to participate in the meeting, headed by Yu Peng, deputy director of Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Institute, a four-person delegation composed of three lawyers Su Na, Yu Yue and Zhang Xuan, and more than 60 lawyers from more than 40 law firms in more than 30 countries around the world, in-depth exchanges were conducted on the development trend of international legal services and transnational and cross-border cooperation.

The 4-day KL AGM schedule is compact, efficient and rich in content, there are speeches and discussions on professional topics such as fast shared office, in-house lawyer training, remote work innovation, geopolitical impact on transnational legal services, legal business exploration in emerging economies (mainly Asia and China), the impact of US economic sanctions on the operation of companies in other countries, opportunities and challenges in the complex background of Brexit, LAWorld cooperation innovation and promotion, there are also visits to Malaysia's Supreme Court, mosques, twin towers, five-a-side football match, Master Chef cooking challenge, retro-themed dance and other cultural group building activities. Lawyers from various countries learn from each other's business and management experience in professional forums, and enhance understanding and cooperation in cultural and social activities.

The Zhongcheng Qingtai delegation actively participated in the discussions of the meeting and spoke enthusiastically on issues related to Chinese law and legal business in China, introduce to the participants the frontier events of China's current legal development, such as the promulgation and influence of the Foreign Investment Law, the pilot project of "transformation of new and old kinetic energy" in Shandong, and the resulting new growth of potential foreign investment legal service cooperation in areas such as financial services, new energy, medical care and health, and high-tech industries; in the round table on cultural differences, actively participate in the discussion and promote the members of all countries to reach the cooperation principle of "openness, tolerance, trust and respect" among LAWorld members. During the meeting, members of the Zhongcheng Qingtai delegation communicated smoothly with lawyers from various countries, and exchanged in-depth views on the problems encountered in the practical operation in their respective fields and the experience summarized. The KL AGM was successfully concluded at a family dinner hosted by Ridza, head of Ridza & Co law firm in Mohamed, Malaysia. Everyone met again at the 2020 Charleston Global Annual Meeting in South Carolina.
