Our lawyers and Japanese lawyers went to Yucheng to investigate and collect evidence for the claims of Shandong victims against Japan during World War II.

On March 18, lawyer Dong Yiming led the young lawyers of our "volunteer service team" to Yucheng to investigate and collect evidence together with the Japanese lawyer team and Japanese non-governmental friendly people to make final preparations for the claim case of Shandong captive workers against Japan, which will be held in Miyazaki Court in April. Inspired by my lawyer's insistence on participating in the claims of Shandong captive laborers against Japan at his own expense for many years, the medical staff of Jinan Sente Jiuhua Health Management Center made a special trip to conduct free physical examination for the laborers. The teachers and students of the Japanese Department of Jinan University formed a voluntary translation team to provide language services throughout the process.
With the patient and meticulous inquiry of lawyers and the full cooperation of the injured workers and their families, the investigation and evidence collection work was successfully completed. Subsequently, Chinese and Japanese lawyers held a forum to exchange views on the investigation and evidence collection work, analyzed and compared in detail the evidence materials that had to be submitted to the court when the court session was held in Japan in April, and determined the appearance of the workers according to their physical conditions. Both sides are satisfied with the results of the investigation and evidence collection. Our institute's advanced deeds of actively participating in Shandong labor claims against Japan have attracted the attention of many media.
