On the afternoon of December 29, the fifth (enlarged) meeting of the eighth Jinan Municipal Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee was held in Pearl Spring Hotel. Lawyer Yao Huming, Deputy Director of the Institute, Chairman of the Board of Supervisors, Deputy Chairman of the Municipal Committee of the National Revolutionary Committee, and Lawyer Wang Yang and Bai Xue attended the meeting.

The meeting learned the spirit of Xi Jinping's speech at the celebration of the 40th anniversary of reform and opening up and the spirit of the Second Plenary Session of the 13th Central Committee of the National Revolutionary Committee. The leadership and members of the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee conducted debriefing and democratic appraisal.

The meeting held that in 2018, the Jinan Municipal Committee of the Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee united and led the city's Kuomintang Revolutionary Committee organizations at all levels and the majority of party members, guided by Xi Jinping's new era of socialism with Chinese characteristics, with the theme of "not forgetting the original intention of cooperation, and continuing to advance hand in hand". The meeting called for 2019 to be an important year for implementing the spirit of the 19th National Congress of the Communist Party of China, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the the People's Republic of China, the 70th anniversary of the founding of the People's Political Consultative Conference, and a crucial year for the decisive victory in building a well-off society in an all-round way.
