To prevent and mitigate risks associated with lawyers’ practice and to enhance their awareness of compliant professional conduct, on December 11, the Jinan Office of Zhongcheng Qingtai held a special training session titled “Practice Risks and Professional Discipline.” The event was chaired by Li Hui, a member of the Risk Control Implementation Committee of the Jinan Office. He Zefeng, Deputy Director of the Jinan Office Management Committee, and Cui Shouxu, a member of the Management Committee and Director of the Risk Control Implementation Committee, delivered keynote speeches. The event also featured a special training session led by Pang Shuying, Deputy Secretary-General of the Jinan Lawyers Association and Director of the Complaint Receiving and Investigation Center. Lawyers from various departments within the Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan region participated in this learning session through both online and offline formats.

At the outset of the event, Director Cui Shouxu provided an update on risk management matters and analyzed the risk factors identified in the firm’s daily operations. He emphasized that preventing and addressing practice-related risks not only safeguards the professional security of each lawyer but also directly impacts the firm’s stable operation and high-quality development.
Director Pang Shuying, focusing on the theme of “Handling and Investigating Complaints and Preventing Legal Practice Risks,” introduced the working mechanisms adopted by the Jinan Lawyers Association in handling and investigating complaints, as well as the typical risks currently facing the legal profession. Drawing on the experience of Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Office in establishing and implementing its complaint-handling system, she conducted an in-depth analysis of the system’s effectiveness and the extent to which it is put into practice at the operational level. Through specific case studies, Director Pang further explored the construction and practical approaches for building an integrated framework for the prevention and control of professional risks, and called upon the industry to pool wisdom and work together to enhance its capacity to respond to risks.
In his concluding remarks, Director He Zefeng stated that the legal profession is now entering a critical stage of compliant development. Lawyers should demonstrate a high degree of professional self-discipline, strictly adhere to legal boundaries, and showcase their professional competence. He emphasized that law firms must continuously strengthen risk-awareness education, promote risk prevention and control efforts from both individual and organizational perspectives, and ensure that all risk-control measures are effectively implemented and yield tangible results by refining risk-control procedures and intensifying internal disciplinary actions.
This learning activity has further strengthened Zhongcheng Qingtai’s foundation in practice risk control and disciplinary development. Moving forward, Zhongcheng Qingtai will continue to refine its risk management and control system, strengthen its internal supervision and disciplinary mechanisms, standardize professional practice to support career growth, and foster a stable future for the firm through steady development.
