Our lawyers attended the Hangzhou meeting of the eighth working group of the Permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum.
On April 13 and 14, 2019, Li Heng, deputy director and senior partner of our firm, and Niu Chao, a young lawyer, attended the Hangzhou meeting of the eighth working group of the permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum, and discussed key and difficult legal issues in the field of construction engineering with more than 30 experts and scholars in the field of construction engineering, including judges, arbitrators, lawyers and engineering appraisal experts from Beijing, Zhejiang, Jiangsu and Guangxi. The discussion at the meeting was lively and the results were remarkable.
The Permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum was initiated by the China Construction Engineering Law Review on June 14, 2017, and was initiated by the China Institute of Applied Law of the Supreme People's Court, China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission, Beijing Arbitration Commission, Shenzhen Arbitration Commission, etc. Nine units initiated the establishment to promote the improvement and development of China's construction engineering laws. The Permanent Forum is a public good and not for profit. The working method of the Permanent Forum is to organize the working group to complete high-quality research results, to promote the construction engineering legal profession to reach consensus on specific issues through the publicity and promotion of the research results by members and observers, and to improve the efficiency of dispute resolution in this field and the results. It is expected to promote the improvement and development of China's construction engineering laws and serve my country's "One Belt One Road" development strategy. In May 2019, the eighth working group meeting of the permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum will be hosted by me, and our institute will further strengthen the interaction and cooperation with the permanent China Construction Engineering Law Forum.
