In order to improve the legal research ability of the faculty and staff of Shandong University of Finance and Economics, promote the development of legal disciplines, and improve the quality of legal talent training, Shandong Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Firm and Shandong University of Finance and Economics Law School jointly planned the "Shandong University of Finance and Economics-Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Masters" "Lecture Hall" series of lectures, famous jurists at home and abroad will be invited to Jinan to give lectures one after another.

On September 25, 2019, the "Shandong University of Finance and Economics-Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Masters Lecture Hall" was officially launched on the Yanshan campus of Shandong University of Finance and Economics. The first lecture was given by my country's famous criminal procedure jurist, Changjiang Scholar, and Peking University Professor Chen Ruihua. Nearly 500 teachers and students from the Law School of Shancai University, as well as prosecutors and lawyers, attended the meeting. The deputy director of our institute, Meng Fanhu, led some lawyers to participate in the lecture hall activities.

The first lecture of the lecture hall is divided into two parts. In the first part, Professor Chen Ruihua, with the title of "legal research methods from experience to theory", reflected on the traditional and non-vital research methods, and combed in detail the research methods of legal theory with the characteristics of the times. It is believed that legal research should aim at conceptualization, take question as the starting point, cross the problem, focus on issue, and make a breakthrough in the theory of interpretation rather than normative theory. In the second session, Professor Chen Ruihua takes "the development and reflection of the criminal defense system" as the title, from the development of criminal defense system from single innocent defense to diversified defense, the identity of defense lawyers has undergone historic changes, the development space of lawyers' business has been expanded in all directions, the two modes of legal aid have been formed, from defense with lawyers to effective defense, and the prevention and relief of lawyers' professional risks from nothing to six aspects, the development history, achievements and existing problems of China's criminal defense system are combed and reflected.

The first lecture of "Shandong University of Finance and Economics-Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Masters Lecture Hall" was a complete success and achieved very good academic and social effects. The teachers, students, prosecutors, and lawyers who participated in the meeting all expressed that they benefited a lot, and highly praised Shandong University of Finance and Economics-Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Masters Lecture Hall.
