On March 14, 2020, the Shandong Lawyers Association, the Capital Market Legal Professional Committee of the Provincial Lawyers Association, and the Securities Business Professional Committee of the Jinan Lawyers Association held a seminar on the impact of the new securities law on the securities lawyer business and the securities business filing system ". Although the epidemic has not yet passed, nearly 200 lawyers in the province participated in the seminar through online meetings, and the atmosphere was still warm.
Lawyer Li Zhenzhong, senior partner and deputy director of Zhongcheng Qingtai (Jinan) Law Firm, and deputy director of the Capital Market Legal Professional Committee of Shandong Lawyers Association, was invited to participate in this webinar. At the seminar, lawyer Li Zhenzhong made a keynote speech entitled "being a good gatekeeper in the capital market. Lawyer Li Zhenzhong's speech started from the revision of the new Securities Law, shared his understanding of the new Securities Law and the regulations on the Administration of the filing of Securities Service institutions engaged in Securities Service Business (draft for soliciting opinions), and made a detailed analysis of the specific requirements for law firms to be "gatekeepers" in the capital market through the regulations on the Administration of filing.
The implementation of the new Securities Law and the landing of the securities business filing system are challenges and opportunities for law firms.
