On October 12, 2020, Li Zhe, a lawyer from Zhongcheng Qingtai Jinan Institute, was invited to conduct legal training on the Law on the Prevention and Control of Environmental Pollution by the People's Republic of China Solid Waste for the High-tech Branch of Jinan Ecological Environment Bureau.
Lawyer Li Zhe compared the differences between the old and new solid waste laws in terms of the revised background, revised content and key changes of the new solid waste law. At the same time, combined with the current situation of daily management of enterprises, he focused on the interpretation of the requirements of the production, storage, utilization, transfer and disposal of general industrial solid waste and hazardous waste. In-depth analysis of the legal responsibilities that waste-producing enterprises should bear, emphasize the enterprise individual double penalty system, administrative detention, daily continuous punishment and other "severe punishment and heavy punishment" means.
As an important environmental protection law, the new solid waste law has strict legal liability. This training will help to further enhance the awareness of environmental protection and enhance the level of solid waste management.
