After the meeting with Director Meng Fanhu, lawyers Li Kun and Zhang Ronglin from Jinan Institute of Zhongcheng Qingtai successfully held the meeting in the next scheduled time period using the video meeting booth.
In addition, lawyers Cui Shouxu, Xing Bo and Wang Junjie have also made successful appointments. At present, the appointments for this video meeting booth have been sorted until October 28.
The video meeting booth has been or is being connected with Jinan City Detention Center, Jinan City Second Detention Center, Third Detention Center, Fourth Detention Center, Sixth Detention Center, Jiyang District Detention Center, Shanghe County Detention Center, and Pingyin County Detention Center. The video kiosk is no longer just a temporary response during the outbreak, it will remain in regular use after the outbreak is fully over. The installation and use of the video meeting booth not only eliminates the hardship of lawyers traveling to and from the detention center, but also improves the efficiency of the meeting, saves working time, and provides a strong guarantee for the effective defense of lawyers.
It is reported that this is the first remote video meeting booth dedicated to designated law firms and lawyers in China. At present, it is only open to lawyers from Shandong Zhongcheng Qingtai Law Firm and 14 branch offices, and does not accept appointments from lawyers from other law firms for the time being.
