In order to discuss the current situation of voluntary service in China, promote the exchange and cooperation of voluntary service, and promote the development of voluntary service in China, the "Forum on Volunteer Service and Social Development" was solemnly held in Chengdu, Sichuan Province from December 5 to 6, 2004. as a voluntary service legislator in Jinan, Dong Yiming, deputy director of our institute, attended the forum and had extensive exchanges with experts from all walks of life.
With the theme of "Volunteer Service and Social Development", this forum has arranged keynote speeches, "Wonderful 100 Seconds-Roundtable Conference" and other exciting content, and opened "Volunteer Service and Building a Harmonious Society" and "Volunteer Service and Human Resources Development" "Volunteer Service and Social Emergency Mechanism" and other three sub-forums. More than 20 influential news media, including Xinhua News Agency, CCTV, and China Youth Daily, focused on this forum and conducted follow-up reports throughout the process. The successful convening of this forum will effectively promote the further development of Chinese youth volunteer activities.
