The 2004 Maritime Law Seminar for Chinese Lawyers and the Annual Meeting of the Maritime Affairs Committee of the Chinese Lawyers Association were held in Qingdao on September 17, 2004. Lawyers Dong Yiming and Zhou Jiakui, our partners, attended the conference. President Gao Zongze of the Chinese Law Association pointed out at the opening ceremony that the 21st century is the century of the ocean. The internationalization of the domestic market, the domestication of the international market, and the maritime business field of maritime commerce have attracted more and more attention. Participants came from the legal and practical circles in Hong Kong, Taiwan, South Korea and the Mainland. Nearly 30 people delivered speeches and 40 papers were compiled into a volume.
