Entrusted by the Council, first of all, on behalf of all the members of the third Council of Jinan Bar Association, I would like to express my heartfelt thanks to all the leaders, representatives and lawyers of the whole city for their trust in us! I would like to express my sincere thanks to the members of the second Council for their contributions to the cause of lawyers in our city during their term of office!
The term of the new Council coincides with the full implementation of the Tenth Five-Year Plan and China's formal accession to the WTO. China's political and economic development has entered a new historical stage. The development of China's lawyers is also facing new opportunities and challenges. The members of the Council are deeply impressed by the enormity of the task and the great responsibility, but they also feel very honored. We are determined and confident that under the correct leadership of the Party Group of the Judicial Bureau, we will shoulder the wishes and trust of the city's lawyers, seize new opportunities, forge ahead, and innovate with determination to create a new situation in the work of Jinan lawyers.
According to the opinions of the Ministry of justice on the reform of lawyers' work, our council is the first council composed entirely of practicing lawyers in the province. This is an important measure to improve the "two-in-one" management system and to give further play to the functions of the Bar Association. With the development of the lawyer industry and the acceleration of the process of integrating with international standards, the scope of self-discipline management of the lawyer association is getting larger and larger, and the responsibility is getting heavier and heavier. Under the leadership, supervision and guidance of the judicial administrative organs, our council will base itself on long-term development goals, have great aspirations for development, enhance the awareness of reform and innovation, actively and boldly explore and improve the new ways and mechanisms of the "two combinations" management system, strengthen self-construction, strengthen industry management, and conscientiously sum up experience, so that the operating mechanism of "two combinations" can better meet the requirements of the development of lawyers' work in our city, to promote the development of lawyers in our city faster to make due contributions.
All our directors are practicing lawyers and representatives of lawyers. Lawyers in the city recommend us to manage our own business and exercise the responsibility of industry self-discipline. We must have a high degree of professionalism, a strong sense of mission, and selfless dedication. Do a good job in the work of the Law Association. In order to revitalize the lawyer industry in Jinan, we should think about what lawyers think, what lawyers need, what lawyers need, and do our best to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of lawyers. We should strengthen professional education, training and exchanges, manage and make good use of lawyers' membership fees, do more practical and good deeds for lawyers in the city, strive to build the Bar Association into a lawyer's home, and truly become a leader in the development of lawyers' career trusted and supported by lawyers in the city.
Jinan lawyers have gone through 20 years of continuous development, growth and improvement of the glorious course, composed a brilliant poem. Today we are in a great historical era, facing unprecedented development opportunities and very severe challenges. Jinan lawyers have a long way to go. For a better future for Jinan lawyers, our new council members will live up to their mission, with full passion and high morale, unite and lead the city's lawyers under the leadership of the party group of the Municipal Bureau of Justice and under the guidance of the superior lawyers association. Hold high the great banner of Deng Xiaoping Theory, earnestly implement the important thinking of General Secretary Jiang's "Three Represents", comprehensively improve the quality of the lawyer team, and firmly establish the concept of serving the people wholeheartedly, to provide high-quality and efficient legal services for the central work of the party and the country, for reform and opening up and economic construction, with the courage to be the first, the truth-seeking and pragmatic attitude, and the spirit of tenacious struggle, the city's lawyers have been brought into a new history stage.
