Lawyer Li Heng Attends China Construction Engineering Law and Dispute Resolution 2018 Summit Forum

On December 9, the China Construction Engineering Law and dispute Resolution 2018 Summit Forum hosted by the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission was held in Beijing. More than 300 well-known experts, judges, arbitrators, lawyers and representatives of construction enterprises in the industry attended the meeting. Lawyer Li Heng, deputy director and senior partner of our institute, was invited to attend the summit.

This summit discussed some hot and difficult issues in the law of construction projects. Judge Xie Yong of the First Civil Division of the Supreme People's Court gave a keynote report on some difficult issues in the trial of construction project disputes. Qin Yuxiu, the general counsel of China State Construction Engineering Corporation, made a special report on "Legal Risks and Enlightenment of Overseas Contracting Projects by Chinese Enterprises, judge Xie Xuefeng of Beijing No. 3 Intermediate Court and Wang Zhenzhong, deputy general counsel of Samsung (China) Investment Co., Ltd., made a special report on" Feasibility Study on Using the Internet to Improve Trial Efficiency and Transparency ". Lawyer Chen Min, partner of Beijing Guolian Law Firm, and Judge Zhou Liming of Ningbo Beilun District Court made a special report on" Evidence in Construction Contract Disputes, wang Jihong, partner of Beijing Zhonglun Law Firm, and Cui Jun, chairman of Beijing Overseas Junhe Engineering Consulting Co., Ltd., introduced and analyzed the 2017 version of the FIDIC contract. Judges of the Supreme People's Court, Beijing Internet Court, well-known experts in the engineering industry, arbitrators, and lawyers made wonderful comments on the above topics. Lawyer Li Heng also had a good exchange with some construction engineering legal professionals at this meeting.

This summit brought together construction engineering legal professionals, focused on the frontier issues of the engineering industry, and gathered some consensus, which will have a positive effect on the development of my country's construction engineering legal theory and practice.
