"The pursuit of equality between men and women is a great cause. Women are the pioneers of human civilization, the promoters of social progress and an important force in the comprehensive construction of a modern socialist country". On September 27, 2021, the State Council issued the Circular on the Outline for the Development of Chinese Women and the Outline for the Development of Chinese Children (2021-2030). The "21st Program" puts forward 75 main goals and 93 strategic measures to thoroughly implement the basic national policy of equality between men and women, marking that Chinese women's development has entered the fourth cycle of my country. On March 7, 2023, Song Huidong, a senior partner of our firm and director of Urban Construction Real Estate Department, was invited to give a public welfare legal lecture on "Protection of Women's Rights and Interests in the New Era" for female employees of Shandong Gold Group Construction Engineering Co., Ltd. This lecture mainly focuses on the country's strategic measures in "women and health, education, economy, participation in decision-making and management, social security, family building, environment and law" proposed in the "21st Program. This lecture combines our current laws and regulations to explain the law in two different environments: "family" and "workplace. Under the policy background of my country's "21st Program", the social status of our women has been continuously improved. The "21st Program" proposes to "thoroughly implement the basic national policy of equality between men and women, and innovate and improve the institutional mechanism for gender equality and women's all-round development. Women have equal access to all-round life-cycle health services, and their health levels continue to improve. Women have an equal right to education, and their quality and ability have been continuously improved. Women enjoy equal economic rights and interests, and their economic status has been steadily improved. Women enjoy political rights on an equal footing, and their level of participation in the management of state and economic, cultural and social affairs has gradually increased. Women have equal access to multi-level and sustainable social security, and the level of treatment has been steadily improved. The concept of equality between men and women has become more popular, and the environment for women's development has been optimized.
